Kestrel x gal-dem x After Time

On 27th October 2022, we partnered with gal-dem to release After Time. Read the article here.

The film is an edited version of the four short films we screened first at Close-Up Cinema back in April, and then again at the Old Vic Theatre in June, in partnership with Headlong.

Directed, shot and edited by Kestrel Film Associate Artist, Dorothy Allen-Pickard, the film explores the complexity of navigating life after a prison sentence, from the personal perspectives of three Kestrel alumni.

We are thrilled that this beautiful work will now be watched by so many more people - 30k have viewed the trailer on social media so far - and we hope it will spark an important conversation around the complex failings of the current criminal justice system to support those in its care.

As Marc says, "When we start looking at things as whole society problem rather than a problem with the individual, we can make greater strides".
